It’s 50 years since publication of Rachel Carson’s world-changing “Silent Spring“, a book that inspired the birth of the environmental movement in the late 1960s and that galvanised public resistance against powerful corporate merchants of DDT.

Now the moral descendants of those corporate merchants continue to wage war against scientists who similarly try to raise public consciousness about global warming.  Only now they have the conspiracy theorists and internet trolls on their side …

All the more reason.
