On 21st March 2011, the Australian Human Rights Commission released its Report into "Freedom of Religion and Belief in the 21st Century."
The Commission's media release says the investigation shows "there is a need to develop appropriate responses to the unique and varied Australian religious contexts and settings, including ancient Indigenous traditions, Christian heritages, and minority faith communities."
Apart from this being an almost 'say nothing' sentence, note there is no mention of Australians who do not follow a religion, only religionists. Yet another sign of the bias of government agencies?
The Rationalist Society put in a major submission to this investigation, and the resulting Report is disappointing.
