Australian Census, 9 August 2011
Want to actually DO something?
A few weeks ago, we alerted you to the Australian Census coming up on 9th August.
Many RSA members have told us they'd like to do something active to help the cause. Here's your chance!
We've had thousands of pamphlets printed and you can help by handing them out.
Here's some ideas:
- walk around your local area and drop them into letterboxes (respecting the 'No Junk Mail' etc signs)
- take some to work and leave them on the table in the common room
- walk around your local supermarket carpark and put them under windscreen wipers
- keep some with you and hand one to anyone you talk to
- distribute to friends and family
- if you're really keen, stand on a street corner and hand them out to passers-by (this takes courage but it's an interesting experience - take it from someone who's tried it!)
This is important. Data matters. Let's make sure people think before the Census.
Interested? Hit 'Reply' and let us know your name and postal address and we'll send you great looking, professional pamphlets you can use to get active and make a difference.
Thanks for supporting science and evidence as opposed to superstition and bigotry.
